Every day is an adventure!
I was innocently on my way home with Dalton and Cayden from daycare when Jan called me to tell me she was bleeding again! So a quick drop of both Cayden and Dalton at the Davis’ house and it was off to the hospital again.
We were admitted about 6:15pm and finally saw a doctor at 8:40pm. They have given Jan a shot to stop her contractions (minor ones that she has had for the last couple weeks) and now they are starting some lab tests. She wasn’t too fond of the shot – it got her heart really racing and gave her the shakes. They said they would only give her one of those shots though, so that’s good.
It sounds like the plan is to just monitor the baby’s vitals and Jan’s bleeding. The baby is still moving around so everything seems fine inside. If she looses too much blood they will set up a c-section right away. What they do if the bleeding stops seems a little fuzzy…I get the feeling they would keep her in her over the weekend, then do an amniocentesis to check the baby’s lung development. If all was well then they would schedule an earlier c-section…but they haven’t committed to anything.
Well – stay tuned to the blog for the latest, it’s difficult to call everyone!
